We went to present a grant to sweet Georgina at Ninna's Road to Rescue - Benton, Louisiana today & had the privilege of also meeting a cutie named Marvin! Is it just me, or does anyone else want to take home every.single.rescue.doggie they meet?!?! Sweet Georgina with her beautiful shiny coat & most soulful eyes, looking up at me.. “will someone love me one day? Will i find my furever loving home?” Oh yes, sweet girl.. you are perfect & you will have an amazing furever home one day soon!” Georgina has had a rough past & came from animal control after being hit by a car. She did require amputation from an old injury, but it literally doesn’t slow her down a bit! She’s just the bestest girl!
And this other lil guy Marvin.. I mean, what’s not to love?! He came from animal control with sores & callouses from terrible flea infestation. But he is doing so much better & is just precious! Caption his mood please!
Meet Kam.. the sweetest boy and recipient of our latest Winnie's Way Wee-Grant! As someone else commented, he was likely used as a bait dog, as he was found with bite wounds all over & possibly a broken leg. I’ll never understand this cruel world. But sweet Kam.. he deserves nothing but love. The wonderful folks at King Dog Rescue are getting him to the vet this morning. We pray for his healing & that one day soon he will experience the love of his very own furever home.
This is why we do what we do.. why all the rescues in our area work tirelessly with volunteers who receive nothing other than the love & joy of seeing dogs healed & adopted into furever loving homes. And that’s worth more than any payck.

Sweet Kona was a recent Winnie's Way Wee-Grant recipient! She was rescued from Caddo Parish Animal Services & Mosquito Control by the wonderful folks at K Krewe Animal Rescue Kona is such a sweet and beautiful girl. Wishing continued healing for sweet Kona!!
Sweet Serenity.. the wonderful folks at Companions of CPAS did their best to save this girl, but she was just unable to fight anymore. The rescue world can be filled with such joy & so many dogs saved.. but sometimes it’s just heartbreaking because sometimes it’s just too late. But this we know.. Serenity knew love in her final hours. Volunteers with Companions of CPAS were able to love on her and let her know that she mattered. And so she deserves her Winnie's Way post. She deserved better in life, but we are so grateful she had the opportunity to know love. Thank you Companions of CPAS for all that you do. Praying for you all as you heal from this heartbreak.

Meet this beautiful lil girl Ember, our latest Winnie's Way grant recipient! She was found in the road by AC Steere park, just lying there.
